If you feel like someone has access to your Cash App Pin, you can reset it too for safety measures.

In the rare case that you’ve forgotten the Cash App pin, don’t enter the wrong Cash pin multiple times to try guessing it as doing so will lead your account to being locked temporarily and can only be restored after the verification.

This may create a double problem – from guessing your Cash Pin to compromising and locking your account instead.

So, if that is the case, we recommend you simply reset the Cash pin rather than playing the Guessing game.

Conclusion:

Your Cash App Pin is similar to the traditional Card PIN that you use it to withdraw cash or for payments in retail. You set your own unique PIN at the time of activating your card.

Just for safekeeping and in case you forgot, note it down on a piece of paper or on a notepad for future reference.

Note that if you ever get one of these messages about a PIN change and you did not reset your PIN, we recommend you to immediately contact Square support ASAP. If someone is trying to hold onto your account, your whole finance can be compromised since your Cash App is linked to your Bank and Card.

Banks only act on blocking stolen credit or debit cards based on any suspicious activities or user complaints and given how slow and cumbersome the process is, hackers would have already done the damage by the time it comes to anyone’s notice.

Hackers are becoming more sophisticated and devise more efficient ways to cash out the funds on the cards before the financial institutions can flag them as being compromised considering Cash App transactions are instantaneous, they would have moved the money to Cryptocurrency or recycle and cleaning process which can be hard to track.

So, the bottom line is to keep your Cash App PIN safe from prying eyes.
