How Long Does It Take to Get Your Netspend Card?
As mentioned earlier, it takes anywhere between 7 and 10 business days to get a new Netspend card in your mail. Once you receive your card and activate it, you need to deposit funds into the card using any one of the following methods:

- Netspend’s 130,000 reload network locations across the US

How to Find Netspend Card Retailers in Your Area?
To provide added convenience to its customers, Netspend has partnered with a wide variety of retailers such as drugstores, grocery stores, office suppliers, and travel agencies to sell Netspend cards. Netspend has also tied up with many retail chains across the US, such as Office Depot, Walgreens, 7-Eleven, and CVS Pharmacy.
If you wish to purchase a Netspend card from a local retailer, check out Netspend’s website to get a detailed list of stores that sell Netspend cards. You can also use the location finder tool on the company’s website to search for participating retailers.
All you have to do to use the tool is enter a five-digit ZIP code or the city and state where you need to find a retailer. Once you’ve put in the data, Netspend shows you a zoomed-in map of your selected area with red indicators highlighting the location of the participating retailers. To know more about a retailer, including their name, address, contact number, and fees, click on their relevant red circle.
Different vendors charge varying purchase fees that may range from $2.95 to $4.95. The average cost of a Netspend card is $3.95, as is its reload fee.
Before you can get a Netspend card, you are required to submit your personal details such as your name, address, and date of birth to the retailer and also show your driver’s license or other identification proof in accordance with the USA Patriot Act.
Can You Go and Pick Up a Netspend Card at a Walmart Store?
Netspend has also partnered with Walmart to allow customers to easily pick up their Netspend Visa prepaid card in-store.
You need to submit your details at the Walmart store including your name, address, date of birth, and your government ID number along with identity proof such as your driver’s license number.
Once your identity is verified and your Netspend card is activated, you can use the card for in-store purchase transactions, online shopping, bill payments, ATM withdrawals, foreign transactions, and account transfers, among others. You can also add your Netspend prepaid card to your Walmart Pay account.
However, if your identity is only partially verified, you will be able to use the Netspend card only for in-store purchases.
Using a Netspend card comes with a wide range of features. You can opt for Anytime AlertsTM, wherein you’ll get text alerts to check your account balance anytime you want.
Load checks with only a few pictures using Mobile Check Load. Approval review for this feature normally takes about 3 minutes to an hour.
You can also reload your Netspend account balance at any participating Walmart store using the Walmart Rapid Reload feature. All you need to do is carry your cash and your Netspend card to any Walmart kiosk or cash register to reload your balance.
