There are a few things you need to be aware of using your Cash Card and especially if your Cash is funded by your credit card and not your bank account or debit card.

Note that there is a fee to use a credit card with Cash App charging 3% of the transaction to send money that is linked with a credit card. Although, this is very much standard and fair when we compared with the other money transfer apps such as Venmo which also charges 3% to send money with a linked credit card same with Cash App in that regard.

So, if you are shopping in-store and avoid this fee altogether, simply set and use your linked bank account or a debit card as the funding source in your Cash App account to send money.

If your Cash App card or account is not working and has trouble transferring money, make sure to check if you have reached your spending limits on the Cash Card.

Currently, the maximum spending limit set on the Cash Card is $7,000 per transaction and per day and $10,000 per week.

      Hi Gloria,

      Thanks for your comment.
Yes, you can pay for your items in-store without your cash card as long as the Store has its own cash app account and accept them.

      Hi Janice,
      Thanks for your comment.
Unfortunately, there is no direct option to send and transfer money between the Cash App and Paypal.
The only option, for now, is to transfer your Cash App balance to your Bank and once the funds are credited to your Bank, then add the money to your Paypal account.

      Hope this helps.

How can you use this app to shop online or transfer money if you didn’t use your real name to open acct?

    July 5, 2021
    • Laurens Yarpei

      Hi Snow,

      Thanks for the comment.
First of all, if you use a fake name to create your account, you will not be able to verify your account which is required in order to get a Cash card which is required to Shop online.

Hence, a fake name will not be able to verify your account, and cannot shop online unless you manually contact the store and pay to their Cash App account.

About transferring funds, you can send money but it will be limited just $250 within any 7-day period, regardless of whether if it is sent at once or spread out over multiple transactions.

      Hope that helps!

Can you use the cash app card in the app without physically having it? Like if if I typed in the card information on the card reader would it buy it?

    July 7, 2021
    • Laurens Yarpei

      Hi Rick,

      Thanks for the comment.
To Shop in-store, your card is physically required to pay for your items. However, if you shop online, you can type in and pay like a traditional debit card.

If the store does have a Cash App account and accepts Cash App payment, you can pay using the store Cashtag without your card.

      Hopefully, this clears your doubts.

      Thanks
      Laurens
