Does Netspend Show Pending Deposits

Does Netspend Show Pending Deposits?

First, let’s take a look at whether, or not, Netspend shows pending deposits on your account.

Yes, NetSpend shows pending deposit and it is something that you have been able to check for quite a while. On the NetSpend dashboard, you will be able to see your current balance, any recent transactions, and, most importantly, any pending and cleared deposits into your account.

This might come as a surprise to some people because even with most high-street banks, pending deposits have been something that you have only recently been able to see online and on the app. So, Netspend is very advanced.

The great thing about Netspend is that they have an online account center which is basically a one-stop-shop for everything you might need to know about your account.

So, as long as you can get access to your online account, then you will easily be able to see any pending deposits for your account. But, this isn’t the only way to see these deposits, and we’ll be taking a look at some other ways shortly.

How Long Does Netspend Hold a Pending Deposit?

Unfortunately, a lot of the time, transactions made with Netspend are not instantaneous. Especially deposits made into your account. This means that you will usually have to wait a little while before the money clears into your account, But how long is “a little while”? Let’s take a look.

Well, there is no set amount of time that Netspend will hold a pending deposit for, so it is difficult to give a definitive answer to this question.

However, it is common for Netspend to hold onto pending deposits for around 2-3 days, with 2 business days being the most common amount of time for which they hold deposits. Once this time has passed, the money will clear into your account and become part of your available balance.

The great thing about Netspend is that pending deposits are clearly marked differently from cleared deposits. So, you can easily see the money that has entered your account apart from the money that will enter your account.

This makes managing your money a lot easier. With that in mind, let’s take a look at how to see pending deposits on Netspend.

How to See Pending Deposits on Netspend?

Luckily, if you want to see your pending deposits, Netspend has made this really easy. There are 3 main methods that you can use to check the pending deposits on your Netspend account, so let’s take a look at what they are.

1. Online

The easiest way to check your pending deposits is to use the Netspend website and, more specifically, their online account center. When you activate your Netspend card, you will be encouraged to set up an online account. You will be able to use this account to access the online account center.

To access the online account center, you will need to

  • Log into your NetSpend account on the Netspend website.
  • Once you have logged in, you will gain access to your account dashboard.
  • On the dashboard you will be able to see your account balance, and all pending and cleared transactions (including deposits).
  • The dashboard itself is incredibly easy to use, and that is why this is the easiest method of looking for pending deposits.
  • Any pending deposits will be shown under the ‘deposits’ section of the dashboard, and they will be clearly labeled ‘pending’.
  • All deposits, pending deposits included, will be listed under the ‘deposits’ section, so if there is nothing showing, then there are no payments pending.

2. App

While the online account center is great, it was clearly designed with those who use a desktop computer or laptop in mind. So, if you are someone who spends a lot more time on your cell phone, then you might choose to download the Netspend app instead. You will be able to download it from the app store by simply searching ‘Netspend’.

Once you have downloaded the app, you will need to

  • Open the NetSpend App
  • Log into your account. You can do this by using the same details that you would use to log into the online account portal.
  • After you have logged in, you will be able to access the exact same information that you can on the online account portal, it has simply been designed for use on a cell phone instead.

3. Over the Phone

But, if you are not that tech-savvy, and you would rather speak to a person, then you will be able to find out any information about pending transactions by contacting the Netspend customer services.

Simply contact the company on 1-866-387-7363, and they will be able to help you with your query. But, you might be charged for this phone call.

Summary

In short, yes, Netspend does show pending deposits, and it is actually very easy to view these pending transactions. You can do this by simply logging into the online account portal, downloading the Netspend app, or by phoning customer service.

You can find out more about how to do this in the guide above.
