Giveaways and Sweepstakes are becoming more sophisticated and are always a tricky situation. The same applies to Cash App Money Giveaway.

Some just never win no matter how much giveaways they enter and eventually one might start to worry that they are all rigged or you’re not cut out to be a winner.

Does Cash App Really Giveaway Money?

Yes, they actually do real giveaway on their Twitter or Instagram page and chose winners at random.

Your odds of winning the giveaways depend on the number of eligible Entries received.

So, Yes, they are giving out money for real. It would be against the law and illegal to do a sweepstakes and not giveaway the prizes and Cash App will know that.

This also breed scammers acting as authentic and posing as the organization running the giveaway trying to prey on vulnerable victims.

Especially during the coronavirus outbreak, scammers are piggybacking Cash App giveaways to cheat and scam people out of their money.

How does Cash App scam play out?

The Scammers will act as a legit organization or a representatives of it and invite users to participate in a contest on Twitter or other social media platform.

The contest host will be claiming to giveaway x amount of cash to one lucky winner to “help them through the economic downturn caused by the pandemic and COVID-19.”

Scammers might target users through hashtags such as #coronavirusrelief, #CashAppgiveaways and #emergencyfunds to make their social media posts appear more legit and authentic.

Upon entering the contest, the victim or everyone entering their so called giveaway will receives a message on their DM that they have won the giveaway and you have to pay a small clearance fee from Cash App to verify their account and claim their winner prize.

The fact of the matter is that Cash App does not charge clearance fee.

In most case, they are thrilled to be the winner of the contest and more than willing to pay the apparently so called clearance fee.

Once you pay, they block you and disappears never to be seen again.

Any offer you see on social media about Cash app are most likely to be scam. Don’t open any suspicious links or pay anyone anything.

Payment app scams are commonly found on Social media sites and more son on Twitter which is buzzing platform with legitimate giveaways and contests from real and authentic organization, sponsors, etc.

This particular feature and Twitter’s retweet culture makes it easy for the scammers to find contests and piggyback to target users that are publicly participating in joining their giveaways.

There are many legitimate online survey sites to earn a few dollars on the side in spare time.
