Prerequisites to Buying Crypto on Crypto.com

Before you can buy crypto with your Cash Card on crypto.com, you’ll need to satisfy the following requirements:

1. Verify your Account

Crypto.com requires all users to verify their accounts before trading on the platform. Verification involves providing your full legal name, a valid identification card, and a selfie. Once you’ve supplied the platform with these documents, crypto.com should get back to you about your verification within 2-3 working days.

2. Choose Your Payment Currency

Additionally, crypto.com will need to know the currency you’ll use to pay for your cryptocurrencies. The platform accepts payment in all fiat currencies recognized worldwide.

Choose US Dollars if you’re a resident of the United States.

3. Fund Your Cash Card

You’ll need funds in your Cash App balance to shop with your Cash Card.

You can add cash to your balance by linking a bank account to your Cash App account and transferring the funds to your Cash App balance.

Cash Card Transaction Limits

While it’s possible to use your Cash Card on crypto.com, you should know that Cash App imposes a transaction limit on the card.

Cash App’s transaction limit for purchases made with its Cash Card is $7,000 per transaction. In addition, you can only spend $7,000 a day and $15,000 per month. Keep this in mind, as some cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are priced much higher than $15,000.

Also, the limits apply to all Cash Card transactions, whether online or in-store. And they’re inclusive of ATM withdrawals made using the card.

However, these limits reset every day, week, and month. The exact time and dates the resets come into effect are listed as follows:

  • Daily Limit: 7.00 pm CT
  • Weekly Limit: 7.00 pm CT every Saturday
  • Monthly Limit: 7.00 pm CT every last day of the month
